In 2020, COVID-19 forced us to get creative with our annual fundraiser. When we couldn’t gather for a fundraising dinner, we hosted an online silent auction instead.

It ended up being so popular, we’re making it a yearly event.

So mark your calendars for Nov. 27 to Dec. 4, 2022, for our third online silent auction. Not only can you cross off some of those gifts on your holiday shopping list, but also you can support our work partnering with the Anishinaabe people of the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota.

We know you love gift baskets for kids, so we’ll have collections aimed at all age levels, from babies to preteens. Other items include Christmas goodies, jewelry and a beaded keychain made by one of our friends on the White Earth Reservation.

You also can make a donation directly to Hope for the First Nations — and we’re not going to lie, we need it more than ever. Like many nonprofits, our income has been severely impacted by the pandemic. We currently have enough funds to last us through the end of the year. But we have big plans for 2023. We keep hearing from the community that they want us to do more, not less. And we still believe God is calling us to this work.

The link to the auction will go live at 9 a.m. Central on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 32auctions.com/hftfn2022. (We’ll also link it right here on our website.) It will run through 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4. In the meantime, we’ll be popping in to the Facebook event throughout the week with more information about what we do, so don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook!

Contact HFtFN President Emily Miller at emmillerwrites@gmail.com if you have any questions or if you would like to donate items to our silent auction.
