With everything that’s happening in the world, Hope Camp is going to look a little different this summer.
We’re excited to announce our first-ever Hope Camp Online, coming June 22-26 to a Facebook page near you!
We’re making plans now with the teams from our camps in Elbow Lake, Pine Point, Rice Lake and Naytahwaush. We’re envisioning songs, skits, crafts, challenges — maybe even visits from some special guests.
Our Elbow Lake Hope Camp team also is looking into a fun week of Hope Camp activities and spending time together later this summer (Aug. 3 to 7) in the village, if it is safe for us to get together by then.
And our Pine Point and Naytahwaush teams are looking into coming up for the powwows later this summer and fall in those villages to spend time together and help out wherever we are invited.
We cannot wait until we all can be together again. Until then, know that we are keeping up on all the news and recommendations about the coronavirus pandemic, communicating regularly as a board and praying for all of you. You can continue to pray for us, follow us on Facebook to stay updated on the latest developments and help us meet needs in the community as they arise, including our current effort to send homemade masks to the White Earth Nation.
Thank you to everybody who has prayed for us as we make these difficult decisions about what the year will look like for Hope for the First Nations, and we hope to see you this summer at Hope Camp Online!
