UPDATE 7/9/17: There is no Hope Camp this week in Pine Point.
We love you all and are sad to cancel, but we can’t do camp without volunteers. We already are starting to plan for next year, though, so if you and your church or another group think you might be interested in volunteering, please get in touch.
Meantime, we are grateful for all the opportunities the community has given us to join the great things happening at Pine Point School in the spring and at the Pine Point Community Council Christmas party in the winter. We hope to see you later this summer at the Pine Point Powwow!
Our Hope camps are underway on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota, but we still have room for a few more volunteers in late summer.
What exactly do we do on our Hope Camp trips? Here’s a preview from HFtFN Vice President Renay Jones:
Our Hope Camp trips are the best trips! We travel to different communities on the White Earth Reservation and put on a day camp for all the kids. We get to share the Gospel, put on skits, do arts and crafts and have a time of small groups where we get to have intentional conversations with kids about the hope of Jesus Christ. It’s so rewarding because for a solid week you’re up on the reservation where it’s absolutely beautiful and you can just feel God’s presence. You’re away from the hustle of everyday life and can enjoy quiet time with the Lord.We get to be a part of the community, learning more about their culture, and it’s an awesome ministry to be a part of!
